Technical Advisory Bulletin: TB-00200-00-100517-1
This software update 5 (build number: 4.30.68.218) addresses a number of issues found in Intellex software version 4.3.
- SMS support has been added to Intellex 4.3. NOTE: This function should only be installed and configured by an IT technician.
- An issue was reported where Intellex would lose connection to the ADACSNET USB to Sensornet converter which caused a loss of Camera control.
NOTE: To resolve this issue the firmware on the ADACSNET module must be updated. Visit http://www.americandynamics.net/support/downloads_20100521_ADACSNET_Firmware.aspx for details.
WARNING: The new ADACSNET firmware version 2.00 is only compatible with Intellex software version 4.3 software update 5 (build number 4.30.68.218) or above. If you are using an Intellex below this version, the current ADACSNET firmware version 1.01 must be used.
- A salvo issue was observed when using the ADACSNET USB to Sensornet converter for camera control. When configuring a salvo using at least four PTZ cameras which in turn are set to run a preset, the preset does not always run correctly on all of the cameras.
- There is an issue where the video displayed on the Call Monitor output on Intellex software version 4.3 can appear ‘jerky’ especially when there is high motion on the video.
- Text Overlay on the call monitor output was very small and positioned in the middle of the screen.
- When using dome control from an Intellex to a MPLT Matrix using the on-screen GUI, there is a five second delay after you close the GUI before being able to control another camera.
- An intermittent issue was reported where on Intellex startup the Intellex display adapter error message is displayed. Intellex will not start until this message box is acknowledged.
- Video loss has been observed when using Intellex IP with Sony DF40, DF70, DF80, and RX550 cameras when motion detection has been enabled.
- In playback mode, the text overlay on the Intellex sometimes displays the camera name/number twice.
- When viewing live video on Intellex an issue was observed when a PTZ camera is panned left or right. The image appears to ‘tear’ on the horizontal.
- Alarms that have been hardwired to Sony RZ20 and RZ30 cameras do not work correctly with Intellex running software version 4.3. The alarm will either not show up at all, or will show up and not clear.
- When using Intellex IP with an VideoEdge IP 4-Channel Encoder which has camera control configured, there is a 60 second delay between a user closing the camera control on a camera until another user can control the same camera.
